5 Star Garage Door Service's Arcade, GA technicians replace worn cables before they fail, and re-seat drums that have slipped out of alignment.
We built our Garage Door Cable Repair service around Arcade, GA customers who need a specialist, not a generalist working outside their depth.
This specialization is why Arcade, GA customers call us back for the same issue instead of shopping around each time.
A cable slipped off its drum gets diagnosed for the underlying cause, not just re-seated.
Cable diameter and length get matched to your specific drum configuration.
Improper cable work while springs are loaded is a real injury risk.
Cables are common stock on our trucks, so most jobs finish in one visit.
Even a few loose strands mean a cable is close to failing under load — we inspect both cables even when only one shows visible wear.
A cable that's already snapped usually means the door dropped or hangs crooked — emergency replacement is stocked specifically because this can't wait.
A cable that's slipped off its drum causes uneven hanging — alignment gets checked against the opposite side for balance.
Extension spring systems should run safety cables to prevent whip-back — older doors often lack them entirely.
The bracket anchoring the cable to the door corrodes over time — rust and corrosion at the anchor get addressed before they cause sudden release.

We diagnose the actual cause and explain the fix in plain terms before quoting.
{Work is completed and tested through a full cycle before we call the job finished.|We verify safety function and smooth operation before asking for your sign-off.|Workmanship is backed by our guarantee, not just a handshake.}

If only one shows wear, we'll say so rather than upsell the second.
A door suddenly hanging crooked is another common indicator.
We treat snapped cable calls with the same urgency as a broken spring.
